The NCSF Board for Certification serves as the credentialing body for the organization and regulates professional practices of certified personal trainers. The authority over the personal trainer credential, the board sets practice standards and guidelines, defines eligibility requirements, delineates professional scope and oversees competency assessment of certification candidates. The member organization provides support services, educational programs, public outreach and professional advocacy for the Personal Training profession. As a leading authority in the health and fitness industry, the mission of the NCSF is to serve both the interests of the Personal Training profession as well as that of the general public they serve.
