The National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) is a professional, member-driven, education and credentialing organization for personal trainers and exercise science professionals. The NCSF is committed to serving the public through research, service, and advancement of the certified personal trainer profession.
The NCSF Board for Certification serves as the governing authority over the personal trainer certification program, setting regulatory standards for certified personal trainers. In addition, the Board for Certification provides professional advocacy, oversees legislative activity, and collaborates with organizations and universities to disseminate valid, evidence-based information to stakeholders of the personal trainer profession.
The NCSF works cooperatively with other allied health licensing and certification boards to provide education and network support for Personal Trainers and Licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants, Registered Dietitians and Registered Dietitian Technicians, and Certified Athletic Trainers.
